Alan Gibbs, born on October 1st, 1948 in Custom House, East London, attended school at Shipment Road until starting work as an apprentice electrician at age 16. He married Elane, who he met at school, in 1970, and they welcomed their only child, Adam, in 1971. In the late 1970s, Alan transitioned to advertising and worked in Saudi Arabia. After Alan and Elane Separated, their son Adam was raised by Alan. Alan, a former footballer for West Ham boys and cricketer for Essex boys, later discovered a passion for golf. He became a member at Bentley Golf Club and Romford Golf Club, achieving a single-figure handicap. In the late 80s, Alan found love again with Jane and they married in Hawaii in 1992. Known for his entertaining spirit, he cherished time with loved ones, singing, and making memories. Alan's life took on a new chapter with Jane, who he adored, along with his son Adam, his wife Sarah and their two grandchildren. In 2001, Joe was born, followed by Louis in 2004. Alan was a huge part in Louis and Joe’s life and spent many great years with them. He was a real family man and lived for quality time spent with the people he loved. Despite his passing on March 11th, 2016, Alan's legacy continues through the memories shared by those who knew and loved him. His presence is deeply missed, but his story lives on, allowing his memory to be shared.
